Monday, June 9th 5:56pm: My feet hurt, my back hurts, I smell, are just some of the phrases being muttered on the drive back to Pilgrim House around 4:45pm.
After reluctantly waking up to "walkin' in memphis" being blasted from an ipod, the students arrived at breakfast ready to work. We divided up into 2 groups today to work on 2 sites. 9 of us (Allen, Lauren, Marcia, Katie, Tom, Colton, Andrew, Shelby, Stephanie) went to work on Preston Street tearing off a roof and replacing it. The others went to Rozelle to rip off siding and replace that. The bars on the windows are becoming a slight problem, because the residents will not let us remove them overnight to let paint dry. There have not been too many injuries, and nothing that we can't work through. The weather cooled off a little for us today, and by cool off, I mean it was 95 instead on 100 degrees with a slight breeze. Cook team C is preparing dinner tonight, as the rest of us shower and play euchre. We are all exhausted from a hard days work, but looking forward to tomorrow.

They do know there is a dollar charge for complaints... Don't they. It sounds like things are going well. Sorry we couldn't be there.
